About Me
A little about me
I am a registered Occupational Therapist with approximately 30years' experience across a range of health, workplace, and social care settings. My roles have included clinical, management and leadership positions, and I have also had my own private practices (sole trader, partnership, and company). I have worked across a range of schemes and systems in my career, including NDIS, DVA, CTP insurance, Comcare, workers' compensation, TAC, HCP, and life insurance. Additionally, I am currently an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at Bond University.
My qualifications
I completed my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland in 1993. Since then, I have obtained a number of other qualifications including MBA (major in WHS), Graduate Certificate in Human Factors and Safety Management Systems, Graduate Certificate in Health Systems, Certificate IV in WHS, and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. I am also currently enrolled in a PhD through Bond University - exploring the effects of mindfulness in higher education.
What's important to me
I enjoy making a positive difference in the lives of others - whether this is through my clinical skills and services, supervising other therapists, or supporting students in their learning journey. Occupational therapy isn't just a career for me, it is a way of life.

I offer one-on-one and group supervision options. Participating in professional supervision can help you to:

- facilitate your reflective practice,
- support your ethical decision making,
- promote your professional and personal growth, and
- foster your professional accountability.
I am also available for in-services and education sessions for individuals or groups.

Professional Supervision
My services are aligned with OT Australia's Professional Supervision Framework. Please contact me for a flyer outlining the benefits for both the therapist and their organisation. My areas of clinical focus include adult & aged populations (community and occupational rehabilitation).
Each supervision arrangement is underpinned by a supervision agreement. This agreement includes information about the:
- Goals,
- Content,
- Responsibilities of both parties,
- Logistics,
- Confidentiality,
- Documentation, and
- Evaluation.
I will record details of each supervision session using my supervision record form, and a copy will be provided to the therapist undertaking the supervision. This can also be used as evidence for your CPD portfolio.

Education
